Equipment returns are during OA open hours only. All equipment must be returned 1 hour prior to closing. Late fees will be applied if equipment is returned outside of equipment return window. Equipment will not be accepted outside of open hours.

Yes, we want to help everyone enjoy the outdoors. Please see our equipment rental page for current options and rates.

Any currently enrolled student or faculty/staff currently paying the Campus Recreation fee will receive the discounted OA member rates.

For most items, reservations are accepted one week before the first day of the rental period. Reservations are accepted via phone or in person. 

Exceptions: All boats may be reserved 90 days before the first day of the rental period. Boat season generally runs April through October (weather permitting). 

If equipment is damaged upon return, you will be responsible for repair or replacement.

If you’re not able to get your equipment back to us on time, please call ahead and pay for an additional day. If you fail to return your equipment on time, you will be charged an additional day plus a late fee.

We have a set number of oar frames and dry boxes for our rafts. So we don’t rent out oar frame equipment separately. 

Our trips are only open to current students, faculty, and staff at the University of Utah.

Register online and pay the deposit with a credit card over the phone, or come to see us during our office hours within the Student Life Center.

University of Utah policies prohibit alcohol, controlled substances, and firearms. These items are not permitted on any OA Adventure.

Participants are not required to have health insurance, but it is strongly encouraged.
