Crimson Crew Scholarships
Towards the end of every Spring semester, Campus Recreation Services celebrates our staff by hosting a Spring Celebration Banquet. During this event, distinguished scholarship recipients are awarded for their leadership, oustanding service, and going above and beyond the values, vision, and mission of Campus Recreation Services and Crimson Crew.
Student staff members are invited to apply every Spring semester.
Up to two Recipents receive an $8500 scholarship
PRINCIPLES AND STANDARDS
• Demonstrates the values, vision, and mission of CRS and the Crimson Crew
• Displays leadership and character that inspires those with whom they interact
• Performs in an exceptional manner and exhibits steadfastness toward departmental
goals and objectives
• Produces tangible results and contributions that positively impact department
REQUIREMENTS AND CONSIDERATIONS
• Must have completed three or more semesters of employment with Campus Recreation
Services OR 500 hours of service
to the department since start date
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.25 is required
• Be enrolled for at least 12 credit hours per semester for undergraduates, 9 credit
hours per semester for graduate students,
and work a minimum of 12 hours per week during the Fall & Spring semesters.
• Additional consideration includes covering special shifts/schedules: open/close
or weekend shifts, University breaks,
holidays, and summer
Up to two Recipents receive an $3500 scholarship
PRINCIPLES AND STANDARDS
• Exhibits remarkable efforts in guest service and the ability to resolve guest concerns
• Takes initiative to complete tasks and always gives that extra effort for excellence
• Commitment to treat all guests and colleagues with care, concern, and respect
• Demonstrates collaboration and teamwork within the entire department
REQUIREMENTS AND CONSIDERATIONS
• Must have completed two or more semesters of employment with Campus Recreation Services
OR 350 hours of service to
the department since start date
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 is required
• Be enrolled for at least 12 credit hours per semester for undergraduates, 9 credit
hours per semester for graduate students,
and work a minimum of 12 hours per week during theFall & Spring semesters.
• Additional consideration includes covering special shifts/schedules: open/close
or weekend shifts, University breaks,
holidays, and summer
Up to two Recipents receive an $2000 scholarship
PRINCIPLES AND STANDARDS
• Demonstrates strong leadership skills and the ability to assume additional responsibilities
• Has established themselves as a core member of the Crimson Crew with the potential
to move into a leadership position
REQUIREMENTS AND CONSIDERATIONS
• Must have completed two or more semesters of employment with CRS OR 320 hours of
service to the department since
start date
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.75
• Be enrolled for at least 12 credit hours per semester for undergraduates, 9 credit
hours per semester for graduate students,
and work a minimum of 12 hours per week during the Fall & Spring semesters.
• Additional consideration includes covering special shifts/schedules: open/close
or weekend shifts, University breaks,
holidays, and summer
