Camping Equipment

Whether you're spending the weekend car camping or backpacking many of the trails throughout Utah, we have the gear you'll need to adventure. We have tents and stoves for your year round camping needs. Backpacking gear for your self-supported treks in the mountains or desert. Be sure to check out our specialized equipment for backpacking and backcountry access.  Ask our knowledgeable staff if you have questions about our equipment or exciting places to explore!

Backpacking Cookset

Our cooksets have a ceramic nonstick coating.  It contains two pots, one lid, and a lid lifter.  These are ideal for backpacking, but also work for car camping.

Our dutch ovens come in two sizes 12” and 14”.  Solid aluminum structure helps to keep weight down but maintain traditional dutch oven style.

Bear Canister

Hard, lightweight plastic barrels used for food storage in the backcountry.  Holds approximately 12 L and is considered enough for two people over a weekend trip.  Dimensions: 9x14 In. Weight: 3 lbs 10 oz.

Goal Zero Yeti

Goal Zero Yeti

The Yeti provides 2 120 v 60 Hz AC outlets, USB charging, and 12v cigarette lighter power supplies.  The ideal use of the unit is powering a CPAP machine on a weekend trip. Charger or solar panels are not included, and the unit is not powerful enough to run power tools or microwaves.

Backpack

We have both 60 + 10 liter and 75 + 10 liter options.  The packs have adjustable shoulder and waist straps, and adjustable back length. These packs are ideal for multi-day pack trips year round, but also work for overnight trips.

Daypack

An M10-size pack with a smaller top compartment (“brain”) and larger main compartment, and adjustable shoulder straps and waist belt. Good for holding extra layers on winter day trips, longer summer day trips, or lightweight overnight.

Our headlamps have red and white light modes, and adjustable levels.  When the light is off, hold the power button for two seconds to switch between color modes, and when it’s on, hold the power button to adjust brightness.

Sleeping bags are rated for comfort, assuming the user is wearing an insulating base layer and sleeping on an insulated pad.  While synthetic is a little heavier and bulkier than down, it handles moisture better, and does well on multi night trips or where there is higher risk of becoming wet.

Big Agnes bags are extra wide and designed to provide a more comfortable night of sleep. The included self-inflating sleeping pad slides into the bottom of the bag to create a quilt-like sleeping platform.

These water jugs hold 20 liters, about five gallons.  They are desert tan, and have an air vent to facilitate smooth pouring.

Hammock

Our hammocks include tree friendly straps, and are sized for one person.  They are made of a parachute nylon type material. Great for lounging, or add a sleeping bag and pad, and spend the night.

Sleeping Pad Foam

Sleeping Pad Foam

Sleeping pads help keep you warm by insulating you from the cold ground, and are usually softer than the ground underneath.  Unlike inflatable pads, closed cell foam cannot puncture or leak. What they lack in comfort, they make up for in reliability.

We have larger camping pads, and smaller backpacking pads.  Inflatable pads tend to be more compact and more comfortable than closed cell foam, but stand the risk of leaking or being punctured.

A bivy is a one person shelter, only slightly larger than the occupant in their sleeping bag.  They are a compact, lightweight shelter for one person, year round.

Four season tents are useful mainly for camping in heavy snow or extreme wind. Because of this, they are heavier than three season tents.  For trips outside of the snow, three season tents will be a better option.

This shelter has no floor, and a single central carbon fiber pole.  It can hold four people, at at 2 lbs oz, is an ideal lightweight shelter.
