WHAT IS A “COOPERATIVE ADVENTURE?”
Cooperative Adventure trips are planned and coordinated by the ORP and the trip participants. Trip costs are shared equally by all participants. All group planning, leadership and risks are shared by all participants equally. Because outdoor adventures are exciting, physically demanding, and take place in an environment over which we have no control, they are potentially dangerous. As a participant on a Cooperative Adventure, you must personally accept these conditions and assume full responsibility for your own safety and well-being. Trip size is limited, and registration is on a first come, first served basis. A non-refundable deposit is required when you sign up to secure a spot for you. Each trip has a pre-trip meeting, and your attendance is strongly recommended. If you can not attend the meeting, please call to schedule a time to meet with one of the trip coordinators.
UNIVERSITY POLICIES:
University of Utah policies prohibit alcohol, controlled substances, and firearms. These items are not permitted on Cooperative Adventure Trips. Trip participants must have health insurance. If you do not have a policy, simple, inexpensive coverage may be purchased for the outings through the Cashier’s Office, Room #165, in the Student Services Building. Call 801-581-7344.
DON’T FORGET THE OUTDOOR RECREATION PROGRAM IS OPEN DURING THE SEMESTER BREAKS TO HELP YOU ENJOY YOUR TIME AWAY FROM CLASSES. GET OUT AND PLAY!
THE UNIVERSITY OF UTAH SEEKS TO PROVIDE EQUAL ACCESS TO ITS PROGRAMS, SERVICES AND ACTIVITIES TO PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES.
