Outdoor Recreation Program
If your idea of adventure is finding a parking space on campus, you need to get out more. From canyoneeing to mountian biking, the “ORP” can help you get geared up for the great outdoors.
The ORP offers various programs and activities from adventure trips to discount lift tickets. We also host the annual Banff Film Festival and Radical Reels.
EQUIPMENT RENTALS
If you need gear, the ORP has it. Equipment is available for various activities including skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing, biking, rafting and water sports, climbing & mountaineering, and camping and backpacking.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR BOATERS:
Many states now require that any boat used on their rivers, lakes or reservoirs meet certain requirements for the control of invasive species of plants and aquatic animals. It is the renters responsibility to know and comply with these regulations. Please click here for a link to information you need to boat in many western states.

The ORP here at the U of Utah has the largest equipment rental operation of any collegiate outdoor program in the nation!
The ORP has enough water sports equipment to allow over 500 people to get out on the water at the same time!
