The fitness program at Campus Recreation Services provides a variety of fun and innovative programs to encourage a healthy and active lifestyle for all participants.

FITNESS INSTRUCTOR TRAINING

Our in-house Fitness Instructor Training (FIT) course is your first step to teaching group fitness classes for Campus Recreation Services and inspiring active, healthy living. This course is a combination of lectures on ACE fundamentals and practical applications that will cover the basics of group exercise instruction including format options, anatomy, physiology, kinesiology, injury prevention, cueing and more! (Oct 19 – Dec 7).

GROUP EXERCISE

The more the merrier!  Whether it’s Cycling, Dance, or Cardio/Fitness, we’ll get your heart pumping and your body jumping.  Or slow it down, relax, rejuvenate with our Mind/Body classes.  Build your strength with TRX or learn a new sport.  We’ve got something for everyone. PERSONAL TRAINING

Whether you are new to working out and looking to get started, or if you want to improve your strength or performance, our nationally certified trainers will educate you in proper exercise technique and help you create a fun and exciting comprehensive fitness program. For more info Click Here.

  • So far, Spring Semester fitness classes have averaged 425 participants each week
  • We have 17 certified group fitness instructors on staff and offer over 30 classes
  • This year we will be offering our first in-house group fitness instructor training
